What I keep, and why.

This site does one thing: it swaps a free teaching pack for your email address. Here is exactly what that involves. It takes a minute to read.

What I collect

Your email address. That is the only thing I ask for.

Alongside it I store when you signed up, the exact wording you agreed to, and — if you arrived from a link — where the link was (TikTok, YouTube, and so on). I do not ask for your name, your school, or anything else, and there are no tracking cookies.

Once I start emailing you, I also keep a record of whether each email was delivered, bounced, or was reported as spam. That is how I stop mailing addresses that no longer work.

Why

To send you the free An Unlikely Hero pack, and after that an email when there’s a new lesson — usually a mini-lesson and a worksheet. Nothing else. I do not sell the list or share it, and there are no “partner offers”.

The legal basis

Consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). You give it by entering your address and pressing the button. The wording beside the button says what you are agreeing to, and I store that exact wording with your address and the time, so there is a record of precisely what you consented to. You can withdraw it at any moment with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, and I stop straight away.

Who handles the data

The list is mine and lives in my own database. Three companies process data for me, each only on my instructions:

  • Supabasehosts the database that holds the list, on servers in the European Union.
  • Resendputs the emails on the wire, and tells me if one bounces.
  • Vercelhosts this website. Its analytics count visits without cookies and without identifying anyone.

How long I keep it

For as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, or an email to you bounces, I keep only your address and the date that happened, so I cannot email you by mistake — ask, and I’ll delete that too.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to see what I hold about you, have a copy of it, correct it, or have it deleted. There is no form: email contact@writingworkshoplibrary.com and I will do it, usually within a few days.

Who is responsible

Writing Workshop Library is not a company. It is the name I publish under. I am Anastasia, and I am the data controller. For anything about your data — a copy of it, a correction, or deleting it — email contact@writingworkshoplibrary.com.
